It's been cold and snowy and blowy the past few days. The snow has been heavy and damp and the roads have been merely wet, but I'm pretty sick of this stuff. I can't get warm and have actually turned on the heat in my house, which is sure to shock those of you who have visited my home in the colder months. I think I'll be glad of the overheated SFU library today.

Yesterday after dinner, I went out to meet four complete strangers. In spite of the snow and the iffy roads, people came from all over the Vancouver area to try and get a new book discussion group off the ground. It was fun to meet these other four women and decide on the nuts and bolts of our future meetings. We decided to meet in restaurants and to discuss a range of books. We're going to try and get a few more members, since we know that not everyone will come every time. If you're reading this and are in driving distance, let me know if you're interested :-)
