dull geeky post

Today I decided to take the plunge and officially switch over to Gmail for all my email needs. This feels a bit like the end of an era, because for the past 10 years I have been an intensely loyal Pegasus Mail user (not counting my brief attempt to use Linux as my primary operating system, which lasted until I went wireless after getting the laptop a couple of years ago). However, I started using Gmail a few months ago for some of my work related correspondence, and I've been delighted with how user friendly it is and how much easier it is to work with attachments versus Pegasus Mail. The idea of having my mail stored remotely is also appealing, since I check mail more often at school now and it's rather annoying to have it stuck on my laptop at home.

Goodbye Pegasus Mail. You have served me well.
