The Christmas bomb went off...

in our living room!

A fun day was had by all members of my family yesterday. For the first time ever, the kids were up before their parents. We've always found it quite weird that our kids slept till a normal hour on previous Xmas mornings, but this year they acted more "normal". I had to send Megan back to bed at 5:30 and then managed to get a bit more sleep only to be woken up by both kids out in the living room a little after 6:30, chattering excitedly about the gifts that had appeared overnight.

After several hours of gift opening fun (yes... we deliberately drag it out!) we packed up some food and headed out to visit some friends for fun, conversation, Scrabble and a turkey dinner. It was hard tearing Calum away from his new Lego kits, but I think he had a good time playing with my friend's kids.

Hope everyone reading this is having a wonderful holiday! I'm off to eat a fortifying breakfast before I tackle this mess.
