oh yay

So, the kids and I drove out to Chilliwack on Tuesday with the van full of books to trade in at the Book Man, my favourite used bookstore around here. It was a lovely mild day and the sun was actually shining - we could even see blue sky! My plan was that we would grab lunch somewhere and go looking for a couple of caches I had looked up on the geocaching website (there are a LOT of them in the Chilliwack area!). Alas, Calum had other plans for us. After browsing and asking me to read him a few books he suddenly cried out saying that his throat hurt, and then puked all over himself and the floor of the bookstore. I was incredibly grateful to him for not puking on the books.

We managed to get home in one piece and install Calum in a comfy chair in front of the TV, where he spent the rest of the day dozing, watching cartoons and throwing up. He seemed a lot better by bedtime, though he did puke again this morning. Poor guy! I guess today's going to be a low-key day while I wait to see if Megan or I come down with this. Calum and I are both taking oscillococcinum (homeopathic flu remedy) so I hope that helps.
