La Weekend

So, more insane busy-ness continues but we managed to have a fun weekend. I spent the day at a parenting workshop downtown yesterday, leaving Jeff to hold down the fort. He was even cooking dinner when I got home. Woo!

Over the past couple of weeks I've acquired two boxes of cards with simple questions on them to spark discussion at dinnertime. Links here and here. The kids are quite enthused by the cards and Jeff and I have had to impose a limit of one question per person each day, otherwise we will end up going through all the questions in a week or so. If I get the chance I'll make a note of some of the questions (and answers!) as they can be quite amusing.

Today we had one of those rare blank days (ie, there was absolutely nothing written on the calendar for a change). Megan spent her morning finishing up watching the Last Exile DVD set, and then the rest of the day trying to start making an anime music video. Jeff is in the finishing stages of making the massive Gundam model he got for Christmas, and spent much of his day working on that. I decided to spend some time in the kitchen today, and did a lot of baking in addition to preparing our usual Sunday chicken-and-roast-potatoes dinner. Now we have lots of yummy stuff to eat this week.

I'm being pestered to get off the computer, so that's all for now...
