studying and appointments
Yes, that's what our life has consisted of lately. I sit at home and study for my Math final. I'm trying to pretend the English one doesn't exist, because I am so fed up with the course - I'll study for that on the weekend.
We've set up some math tutoring for Megan once a week to help her get up to speed, so it really does seem to be "all about math" around here lately. Maybe I should dig out our box of math manipulatives and teach Calum something.
The only reasons I leave the house these days are to buy groceries, do carpool or take my kids to an appointment. We seem to have a lot of those.
Today Megan is seeing a pediatric allergist to help us figure out what her "triggers" are that set off those awful coughing fits. Yesterday she had stage 2 of getting the braces put on. She seems to be feeling increasingly positive about the experience, thank goodness! (She's been quite vehemently opposed to the whole idea of braces even though her friends are envious and wish THEY were getting them... in this case peer pressure had no effect). Yesterday they put the wires in and put attractive sky-blue bands around the brackets. She was so pleased about this that she actually showed me her teeth voluntarily in the middle of the orthodontist's waiting room! Last night we both spent a lot of time trying to figure out how the hell a person uses the weird "floss threaders" that they supplied to help Megan floss around the braces.
Time to get my day started.
