sunny days

Amazingly, we are having the third sunny day in a week, which seems to show that people who said it is constantly grey, rainy and depressing in Vancouver in winter were exaggerating a bit. Even if it is *mostly* grey and rainy for the next few months, I can handle it if we get a couple days like this every now and again. (It sure beats Toronto's occasional 40-below temperatures and huge crusty dirty piles of snow hanging around for months....) I've just spent a peaceful hour sitting in front of the window in a comfy chair reading Sean Astin's biography, "There and Back Again: An Actor's Tale" (thanks Sheila!). It feels like the perfect end to a really nice week spent relaxing, NOT doing LLL work and spending time with my mum who flew back to Toronto this morning.

Of course, my peace is now broken by Calum playing video games and Jeff trying out the "Darth Vader voice changing mask" that he got for Christmas from one of his sisters. Those quiet moments are so rare around here, I need to appreciate them when I can get them!
