happy holidays...

Whew, it's been a crazy week. Ever since I got back from Chicago I basically haven't stopped... I have had a deluge of LLL work to do, minutes to work on from the meetings I was at, holiday fun and the usual taxiing of kids to and fro as well as some work to do for the executive of Megan's school's parent council. It's definitely not boring.

Yesterday we did a big clean-up and decluttering session and then put up the tree and hung some lights around the dining room window. Megan dug out a paper chain she has been working on at school and it stretches all the way down our hallway. It sure looks festive around here. I went shopping for some more gifts today (still not done, mostly because I have to shop for other people so that they can save the hassle and expense of shipping stuff out here) and I just spent more than two hours gift wrapping. There are really only two things I don't like about the holidays, and they are crowded stores and gift wrapping, and although I can avoid the former by careful planning I can't seem to ever escape the latter. One of these days I am going to be rich enough to have my gifts pre-wrapped for me. Until then... well, I think I've earned myself some Xbox time tonight. There's a copy of "Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords" calling my name...
