Missing a limb

Our hotel had some kind of internet problem (the concierge desk was unable to tell me much of anything about it the two times I called today) that only just cleared up a little while ago. Man, I hate those days when the net goes down... it's like not having one of my arms or something. No email all day!!!!

Luckily, we had some other things to keep us occupied today. We completed 95% of the process of enrolling Megan in Windsor House School and she can begin attending on Monday to finish out the last month of school there. She's very happy about it and from talking with the staff, principal and other parents this week I hope this will be a really good experience. Could it be that we have finally found a good long term school solution for Megan? Let's all keep our fingers crossed.

We picked Jeff up and took him out for lunch, since he forgot to bring his lunch today. It's really cool to be able to do that again. When Jeff worked in the middle of downtown Toronto, we were rarely within easy driving distance to even make a quick visit to his office.

Calum had a bit of drama today... his little penis has been sore all day, we don't know why. I noticed it was sort of puffed up earlier today but dismissed it as yet another one of those quirky little-boy-penis things. On closer inspection -- after he complained when Jeff tried to carry him on his shoulders, and cried when I went to buckle him into his carseat -- it turns out that it is all swollen and red. I just took him into a local walk in clinic and the doctor thinks it's nothing too bad, he probably just banged it on something. We're supposed to spend the weekend checking it regularly to see if it gets worse but otherwise leave it alone. Poor kid!

Aside from penis watching, Jeff and I are debating how to spend our first full weekend here in Vancouver. Megan has been begging to go to the Aquarium in Stanley Park. We've decided against driving down to Seattle just yet, since we still have the Huge Honkin' Gas Guzzlin' SUV. I am leaning toward Megan's other suggestion of checking out the used bookstores in downtown Vancouver... I like the way this kid thinks! We can leave the guys at home and stock up on some summer reading, since the library is currently closed to us while we don't have a permanent address in the area (talk about missing a limb!)

I have a few more pictures I'm going to try and post here. For some reason the image hosting software doesn't want to post the last picture I tried to put up. Hopefully I will manage to do that tonight.
