back from surgery
Well, Calum is home now and happily watching a Spongebob DVD. The surgery went fine, and the staff at the hospital were very nice. After he woke up from the anesthetic he was quite grumpy about the clear plastic shield that had been put on over his eye with surgical tape. He was just determined to get the darn thing off and we had to spent an hour (at least) telling him over and over that as much as he didn't like it, he had to keep it on.
His upper eyelid is pretty swollen, and there are stitches above his brow, but the eye is otherwise wide open and seems to be working pretty well. It will be interesting to see how it looks once the swelling goes down and we can remove the shield. Pictures to follow when it won't look too gruesome!

Speaking of photos, when do we get a photo of your new hair style??
I sent him lots of good vibes, so I hope it helped :-) I'm thrilled to know he came through the surgery with flying colours! Can't wait to see the pictures when you post them.
I second Teresa's comment. I want to see the new hair too!
