long weekend update
We had a very full and busy Victoria Day weekend. Saturday, we had the pleasure of a totally unplanned visit with friends from Nanaimo. We visited the Maritime Museum (pics to follow) and Kits beach in Vancouver, and went to Hon's for dinner where I managed to not eat any of the potstickers or deep fried soymilk (though I am not fooling myself about the likely presence of wheat in the other dishes).
Sunday Megan and I spent the entire day at the local hellishly large shopping mall, Metrotown, looking for clothes. Thanks to Trinny and Susannah of What Not To Wear, I came home with only two shirts and a pair of pants, but they are shirts and pants that I really like and that I think will look better on me than the usual baggy stuff that fills my closet at the moment. I have become much more choosy about the clothes I buy for myself since I started watching that program. We found some great pajamas for Megan and a bunch of "The Incredibles" tshirts at the Disney store so it was a very productive shopping day, but boy did our legs hurt at the end.
Monday ended up being a running-around day - Megan was helping to raise money for The Heifer Project at a Victoria Day parade in Fort Langley, and then we spent an hour browsing at a comic book store and before we realized it, the day was basically gone.
What happened to my three days of relaxation and play??!
