catching up
Gosh, it's been nine days since I last updated all the wagon train readers. Here's a quick recap on what has been happening.
* we've all had a nasty cold, which I didn't get too badly, maybe because I have been taking my vitamins religiously lately. The kids have missed school because of it. We're all getting a little sick of looking at the inside of our house.
* we went to see The Incredibles, which was a truly wonderful film that kept all four of us riveted. You can't say that about too many movies.
* I decided after much thought and discussion with my husband and mum that it would be a good idea to just go ahead and apply to Simon Fraser University for next year and see what transpires...
* most importantly and surprisingly, my dad turned up last Wednesday for a completely unexpected visit! He called from the airport while Jeff and I were having our Wednesday lunch date at EA. We spent a fun four days visiting with him, doing shopping for holiday gifts for the kids (since we don't expect to see him or my stepmother Carol until next year some time) and doing a little sightseeing. What a fun change from our routine!
Here are some things I'm in the middle of:
* planning a workshop for next weekend for Leader Applicants in the BC lower mainland area (Vancouver and places surrounding it) which will be my first experience using Open Space meeting design
* working my way through Myst IV (with its fiendishly difficult puzzles), and Lord of the Rings: The Third Age
* teaching Calum how to read
Soon I will post some pictures from our outings last week.
